Children with special needs have various physical and mental disabilities which affect their mental attitude. They are frustrated due to the inability to do simple tasks, either unable to do it or do it with immense difficulty. Hence they are highly tense and tire easily from physical exertion. Our students are made to practice Yoga, which helps them to align the spinal column, increase flexibility, and strengthen muscles. The end result is increased mental clarity, emotional stability and a greater sense of overall well-being.
Improving communication skills of Intellectually disabled students are at the top of parents' wish list. Intellectually disabled children usually have difficulty in speaking skills. This creates confusion when the student talks with normal children. Hence, Chaithanya Special School offers speech therapy as a part of its education to help students overcome this disability. Speech Therapy improves communication skills by developing both expressive and receptive language. Speech therapy is not limited to the speech therapy room. But throughout the day. the entire school works together to interact with the students in improving communication and speaking skills. Apart from individual classes our teaching methods at classrooms greatly concentrate on developing the communication skills of the children. We have a Speech therapist working relentlessly to improve the communication skills of the intellectual disabled children and students.
